The Brookfield Gardens F.L.E.X. (Flexibility Laughter Endurance X-ternal Strengthening) Program is an individualized exercise and fitness program that helps residents in reaching specific fitness and lifestyle goals.
F.L.E.X. activities are based on simple exercises used in working with older adults. The F.L.E.X. coordinator will develop a specific program based on individual resident's needs.
Balance— Regular exercise can improve stability and steadiness.
Hip Fracture— Walking builds strength and range of motion.
Heart Disease— Gentle exercise, altering activities and relaxation can build endurance.
Osteoarthritis/Osteoporosis— Ongoing exercise can build strength and reduce pain.
Stroke— Therapy routines promote recovery abilities.
