Joni Schlais, RN, BSN - Administrator

Joni graduated from the University of Oshkosh in 1986 with a BSN. Her expertise in the field includes Acute Care, Home Care and Long Term Care experience. It was while being a case manager in home care that she knew she wanted to work exclusively with the geriatric population. She has been with the residents at Brookfield gardens for eight years – as the Health Care Coordinator and promoted to the administrator role in October 2007.

Her primary focus is on quality and compassionate care for our residents. Her philosophy for the elderly care is that while one may be dependent in performing activities of daily living it should not diminish the dignity of the individual. It is this strong belief and philosophy that transcends to the staff; we value our residents at all stages of their life treating them with respect and dignity.

Joni along with her husband and daughter enjoy going for walks, traveling and playing tennis. They also enjoy activities with their family and parish.
